There are six packages available from MyPhoneCompany -- 3 for residences and three for businesses. Residential packages start at $19.99 for unlimited local calls. There is an extra charge for long-distance and international calls. For $24.99 unlimited calls can be made throughout Canada and the United States. The final residential package allows you to make unlimited calls anywhere in the world for just $34.99.
Office plans range from $29.99 to $44.99. All office plans include a second voice line as well as a dedicated fax line. For $29.99 you can call locally, but long-distance calls are extra. $44.99 allows you to call throughout the world at no extra charge on the first line, but the second line is limited to 250 minutes of calls in Canada and the United States.
Packet8 is a company that started off manufacturing video equipment. Since expanding into the VoIP field they're one of the few companies which offer video telephone service as part of their basic packages. When signing a two-year service agreement, customers are able to purchase a videophone for $99. The videophone can be used with anyone else who has video equipment connected to their Internet.
Their basic plan costs $19.95 a month and includes unlimited calls within the United States and Canada and international calls at a low rate. Business plans start at $34.95 and are available with a number of options including metered extensions and virtual switchboards.
OPEX is a full-service telephone provider offering cell phone service, traditional long-distance service, as well as VoIP. Their VoIP plans start at $14.99 which includes 200 minutes for calling within Canada and the United States. For $24.99 you can get unlimited calling within Canada and United States but international calls are charged extra.
There are two business plans available from OPEX -- one at $34.99 on the other at $44.99. For the higher price you get unlimited calls throughout Canada and United States, but for $34.99 you only get 750 minutes of calling time. Overseas calls are extra with both plans.
All of OPEX's plans have a setup fee of $29.99 but include a free (after rebate) ATA.
